After serving in business leadership and coaching roles for 14 years, Kathi was drawn to step away and open herself more fully to growing in Christ. She was initially mentored by Dr. Larry Crabb as a spiritual companion/director. She completed her Masters in Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, with in-depth training/experience in resolving anxiety, trauma recovery, healing troubled relationships, supporting families with members afflicted by life-changing illness or disability, and healthy relationships with food, fitness and self image. She serves as a life coach for those facing life or career transitions. Given her previous experience, Kathi loves to come alongside those in the business community – offering them much needed space to attend to their heart and the reality of their story, and grow in new ways.
Drawn to the body’s role in healing and wholeness, Kathi became certified as a personal trainer and yoga instructor. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in North Carolina. She has been mentored by the Barnabas Center (a Christ-centered counseling practice) for 4 years, and has completed their counseling model training. She is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator – a couples relationship assessment and counseling approach. Kathi has a B.S. in Accounting, and a M.S. in Student Development and Higher Education. Kathi has served in a variety of business leader roles at KPMG Peat Marwick, Florida State University, Accenture, and Bank of America.
For those who are drawn, Kathi is available to integrate spiritual direction with counseling – helping you explore how your relationships and experiences have affected your view and experience of God. She journeys with you to embrace healing in broken places and grow in new ways. Kathi also supports churches in the area with spiritual care/direction for leaders and hosts spiritual growth retreats
Kathi’s been married for 24 years and is graced with a 10 year old son. She enjoys quality time with friends, retreating, gardening, and being in nature every chance she gets.
